HI WALL (WALL HUNG) SPLIT SYSTEM INSTALLATION
When purchasing a split type air conditioning system (Hi Wall) with installation, our prices are based on a single storey back to back installation (no special access equipment other than 6-step ladder is required).

The term Standard BACK TO BACK (B2B) INSTALLATION refers to a split system that has two main components, a wall mounted indoor unit with refrigeration pipes that penetrate through the wall and straight down to the outdoor unit positioned directly below hence the name ‘Back to Back’. Your installation may be a standard Back to Back or you may need extra piping, so the unit is installed in your preferred location. Below is an example of a back to back install. All website pricing is based on a distance no longer than 2 meters.

 

New Dwellings, Buildings and Renovations
We offer installation of air conditioning systems into homes and building during the construction process and can liaise with your builder or architect to make sure the process is handled efficiently and correctly. If you are building a new dwelling we can use your floor plans to quote on an air conditioning solution and system that works best for your application.
Once we receive your plans we can offer a comprehensive customized quotation

A Standard Split System back to back installation includes 

• Outdoor unit positioned on brackets attached to block / brick or stub frame type wall.
• 2 meters of refrigeration piping and interconnecting cable which is installed in surface mounted conduit / ducting (not internally in walls – this is our recommend for any future maintenance).
• Includes 1 Length of 2 Metre PVC Duct. Only 'Fire Retardant' insulation is used for your safety and peace of mind, unlike some other businesses. Other products fade and become brittle which will become an eyesore. This deterioration can start to show in as little a period as 12 months.
• Only install UV & Fire rated pre-insulated pipe's (pair coil) is installed, which is proven to last longer when subjected to UV rays and won't break down. This means that there is no chance of the insulation degrading and causing any moisture damage in the ceiling and wall spaces and won't cause your air conditioner to work harder and increasing your power bill (This can begin to occur in as little as 12 months). These materials do result in a more expensive initial installation but over the lifetime of your air conditioner will save you money.
• SPECIAL FREE OFFER with EVERY Air Conditioner 'Unit & Replacement / Installation' Combo purchased thru Darwin Cooling, the 1st Service / Clean is provide for FREE (note the service must be used within 12 months). It is recommended every air conditioner should be serviced every 6-12 months depending on usage.
• Please note this does not include the replacement, upgrade, repair or installation of the air conditioner isolator/ circuit (power from switchboard to air conditioner isolator near the outdoor unit) or of the switchboard/ meter board (a free customized quote can be done separately).

The qualified tradesmen will carry out & provide a copy of the inspection check list at the beginning of the job if a variation 

• Install new electrical circuit in the existing switchboard and run a cable to lockable isolator for an outdoor unit air conditioner with electrical certification (COC).

NOTE: RECOMMEND replacing pipework when replacing air conditioner with a different gas type, instead of flushing existing pipework)

TERMS & CONDITION OF BUSINESS
‘Darwin Cooling’ and ‘K&J Burns Electrical & Refrigeration’ supply and install any products and services under K&J Burns Electrical Pty Ltd (ABN 68 009 633 827).  Upon processing order or acceptance of quotation this becomes a contract meaning the client accepts the terms and conditions set out below.

1. All equipment installed shall remain the property of K&J Burns Electrical Pty Ltd until full payment has been received. K&J Burns Electrical Pty Ltd holds the right to enter premises where material and work has been performed and or delivered and recover all equipment involved if default is made on payment.
2. We do not take any responsibility for any consequential damages to property after the installation is complete, tested and commissioned.

• Air Conditioning Systems installed during construction must have adequate space or access to enable full service in future, any costs incurred due to inaccessibility are to be borne by the client.

1. Air Conditioner System maintenance is the responsibility of the owner, though we are happy to assist if requested.
2. If in the event a service call is placed and found that the equipment is operating normally or malfunctioning due to misuse or negligence by the client or the equipment has not been properly maintained by a licensed air conditioning or electrical company in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines, the client shall pay the cost of the service call together with labour and material costs.
3. Warranty will not be covered if it is found equipment is damaged due to outside influences like incorrect voltage, flood, fire, lightning strike, modifications to equipment carried out by unauthorised personnel.

• In some circumstances planning approval may be required prior to installation of any air conditioner outdoor units depending upon the Council and Body Corporate involved, it is the Client's responsibility to determine whether this is the case and to obtain any necessary approvals that may be required.
• When Air conditioner capacities/sizes have been specified by the customer, we give no guarantee that units capacity is correct for the rooms.

1. Darwin Cooling or K&J Burns Electrical are not, is not responsible for any existing electrical installation.  Any unforeseen conditions to aerial or underground mains will be at the client's expense.
2. Darwin Cooling Website pricing excludes(if need a separate customised quote can be provide);
3. For any machinery or equipment hire for special access other than a standard 8 step ladder
4. Asbestos-related works for access through the building (If required).
5. Core drilling through building
6. The cost of repairs to garden, plants or grass which may be damaged during works E.g. to repair tire tracks/ marks which the machines may leave Note: all care where possible is given.
7. Make good of paintwork or gyprock if required. What is meant by "If required" is if the new fixture or fitting does not cover the cut-out or paintwork of the existing one which is being installed or replaced then this quote does not cover the cost of those repairs.
8. Website pricing assumes that the switchboard, the wiring and the circuit in the switchboard do not need replacing/repairing. The pricing provided is based on a straight replacement / swap of the electrical fitting / air conditioner unit listed only. If any component requires upgrading, troubleshooting, replacing or fixing you will be notified and approval will be requested before proceeding.
9. Site Inductions and regular site meetings
10. Rock breaking or the removal of concrete (only ever done as 'Do & Charge')

12. All cabling and pipework that is installed or replaced will be surface mounted.
